Made In Chelsea Star Opens Up About Emotional Family Messages Following Sepsis Health Scare

Made In Chelsea star Sam Vanderpump opened up about his health scare with Sepsis and how his family reacted to the news. 

Chatting to host Bobby Norris and co-host Ellen Coughlan on the showbiz programme Access All Areas, Sam Vanderpump spoke about the hardest moment since his Sepsis diagnosis: “They made a group chat, my grandma, aunt and uncle, Mum, brother and my fiancé and when I reread through that, that's actually really difficult, because they're talking day by day about updates about me, and I'm not with it. I'm not conscious, and that's the only thing that really resonates with me, because I think it brings back memory for me, because I think where it was such a trauma, where I went through what I went through, you kind of black bits out. And every time you reread through that group chat, it's like, whoa! It brings a tear to my eye.” 

Also in this episode, Sam opened up about his underlying health conditions that he has had his entire life: “I have an underlying genetic disease. It's hepatic congenital liver fibrosis and polycystic kidney disease, which I've known about my whole life, but it's never impaired me at all.” 

Later in the show, Sam spoke about his health scare: “When they got me to hospital, even the doctors were confused. They were like, ‘Why are you here? You've been in and out for asthma’ and then they took my blood, and they came back, and the doctor looked white in the face, because he went your CRPS up in the 400 you're going into liver and kidney failure.  

Sam also discussed the idea of doing another reality tv show: “I live in London at the moment, and it being a full time thing, doing the reality TV show, you've got to be out there for a good few months. So, at the moment, I'm really, really happy doing Chelsea, and I thoroughly enjoy it, but I would not never write it off.”
