Gemma Collins Reflects on Her Most Iconic Viral Moments

Recently on FUBAR Radio, Gemma Collins revealed that some of her most viral moments had a negative impact on her and that standing up for herself has been misread. 

Chatting to host Andrew White on the radio programme Pulse Of The Nation,the reality star reflected on some of her most viral moments: “When I look back over the years, I'm just like, was I all right? I mean, it's not normal, but I can't change it, because it obviously made me into the person that I am today.” 

She revealed which of her icon lines people shout at her in the street the most: “Well obviously, the GC, I'm claustrophobic. Darren, and there's just so many I just want to be me. I think people loved that, you know, because some days you get pulled from pillars to post, or you got to be a certain way, and I just want to be me. I just want to sit for a minute and take it all in” 

Also in this episode, Collins speaks about standing up for herself and how that can be misunderstood: “One thing I'll say about me, everyone called me a diva, but at the end of the day, I'm not sure if everyone liked it when I just stood up for what was right. So therefore, people deem you to be difficult, therefore you get called a diva. I'm a 44-year-old woman, and life is not always easy, so you have to grow a thick skin. But I would always encourage everyone to say their true inner feelings, even if it offends, at least everyone knows where they stand with you. And I think if there was a lot more of that going on in the world”  

She continued: “The sad thing is, you know, we are living in woke times. And, um, you know, love all the wokies, like slay honey. But I'm from that other generation, you know? And, it's a lot to contend with every day, but I think if you just tell the truth and be yourself, and whether people like it or not, that's how it is, and you just get on with it. But ultimately, just slay”
